ABOUT THE APP

A field notebook with a firm edge.

Dixie Threadbook turns broad themes of community memory, learning, service, and connection into original offline prompts. It keeps participation voluntary and personal records out of the app.

AT A GLANCE

What it is

  • An Android reference for adults, caregivers, guardians, authorized volunteers, mentors, and older students using appropriate adult guidance to prepare reflective conversations or small activities.
  • A finite collection of original educational cards across ten distinct workspaces and structured, tap-only planning choices.
  • A local-only tool with accessibility settings, source notes, and safety reminders.
  • A companion designed to move attention back to real conversations and community action.

CLEAR LIMITS

What it is not

  • Not an official program directory or source of current eligibility rules.
  • Not a scholarship, donation, ticketing, or event-registration system.
  • Not a social network, chat service, youth profile, or attendance tracker.
  • Not counseling, diagnosis, treatment, crisis care, or medical advice.

DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Four choices shape every screen

A

Finite

No infinite feed, streak pressure, follower count, or engagement ranking.

B

Adult-guided

The app supports prepared facilitation; older students should use it with appropriate adult guidance, and it is not designed for independent use by children.

C

Choice-aware

Prompts allow a person to speak, pass, adapt, observe, or choose a quieter role.

D

Private

No free-text participant records, network transmission, cloud account, or remote profile.

A TYPICAL USE

From screen to room in four steps

01

Browse a prepared thread without entering a person’s name or story.

02

Shape a short sequence

Select a welcome, exploration, and close using tap-only choices.

03

Check access and boundaries

Prepare alternatives, voluntary participation, and an adult follow-up path.

04

Put the device down

Use the plan in a real setting; the app does not score people or measure outcomes.
